The much anticipated reel designed by fishing legend Kevin Van Dam and Lew’s Fishing is finally here. The KVD LFS features a one piece aluminum frame, Lew’s MSB dual brake system with both magnetic and centrifugal brakes as well as 10 bearings and up to 20lbs of drag. One of the key requests KVD made when designing this reel was to provide a top tier reel at a price point all anglers could purchase. The Lews team’s answer is an incredible reel built with premium parts to provide anglers with longer distance casts, smooth retrieve and the power to land lunkers. The KVD LFS is available in 3 gears in both right and left hand retrieve. A special 6.2:1 gear was made just for this reel. This is KVD’s go-to gear ratio for crankbaits.
